I am looking to go fishing on the Skokomish River tomorrow morning, Friday. Never been there.

Any tips on launch points, etc? Have anchovies all ready to go ...

Just saw this. I suppose you found out that people usually don't ever try to float this river to fish it, but wade and cast from the bank or gravel bars. Usually very crowded all up and down the lower section of the river when its happening. I don't know how you'd be able to float past the hordes of anglers casting from the bank.  If I wanted to fish there, I'd just go walk along the bank and wade out on the bars.

Hopefully you didn't get tangled up in a tribal gill net. I've done the float from 101 to the bridge at Hunters farm once in a toon. Did it around the first of Nov a few years ago. That float parallels the Purdy Cutoff Road that most bankies use to access the river. Very twisty with a lot of log jams. You can also launch at the bridge by Hunter Farms but then you're committed to taking out in saltwater with a fairly long drag to the road. The Skoks are not particularly happy with anyone putting anything that floats in the river.
The fishery is an absolute zoo when the kings are running. Not nearly as bad during silver and chum season. I was there last week banking it and caught a pair of nice silvers and released 3 dogs in about 3 hours time. There were only 4 other fishermen there. We were going to play with the dogs from our yaks at Hoodsport but it was a bit too rough for our tastes. We fished along the guardrail on the cutoff so we could keep an eye on our yaks in the back of the truck.
