OK, so it wasn't that big, but, hey, I'm excited. Thanks to SteveHawk for showing me the ropes.

Here's the video, sound is not good, waterproof camera case...

We had a beautiful day on the Columbia, went out of Washougal and anchored up below the "Power Lines". Only had two hits and landed one so I'm happy.

Cant wait to see you all Monday for some Dungie fun.

First,  but I bet far from the last sturgeon that will get pulled to your boat......

As a young teen living in California,  I came up and stayed with relatives one summer who lived near Bonneville.
Spent many days fishing from the bank hoping to catch a sturgeon.  Had only one hookup with an oversize that came out of the water one time before breaking off.   I swore that I would come back someday and even the score.   Took me 20 years and moving WA to get the chance.   Where else can you catch a fish bigger than you without paying an arm and a leg.   Soon the goal becomes catching one twice as big,  then 3 times as big...... "if you enjoy targeting oversize as I do"

With your set up,  who better to set the record for largest sturgeon landed by a Kayak   :icon_thumleft:
I used to think that Bigfoot might exist. Then I saw the reality shows where they are looking for them.  Now I am certain they don't

Just need to add a pair of scantly clad hot chicks to work the stripper pole!   ;D

Thanks for the props guys. See you Monday.

The IslandHoppa is always open for a fishing/crabbing/sailing trip.

Let me know if anyone wants to plan something.

Not quite sure who was showing who the ropes yesterday.  I have to admit that I started my day on IslandHoppa Cruise Lines as a mere engine boy and ended up on the Tramp deck drinking Cupacinos with the Capt.  Isn't this where you hooked into two while I (jealously watched on (inner voice) happily watched on.
Aytch is an incredible host with an awesome setup.

It was a pleasure to be there on your first Sturgeon.

Great Job!!  Way to get out there and make it happen!  I knew you had the bug the day we fished together!  I expect we will be seeing a lot of fish roll off the decks of the Island Hoppa in the future!
