It's been a blast watching you guys battle it out! My goal of not finishing last this year seems to be secure  ;D Although I wish I had been able to keep the 27 inches of cabbie I caught yesterday.

I wish I could have kept my 26 inch cabbie, as well.    :P  Ah well, I can drown my sorrows in my 5 pounds of lingcod fillets and a couple of batches of rockfish curry.  What was really cool is that the last ling I caught had a hobie lip gripper attached and a gps in his gut.  The thing was still working   ;D

Hey nice! I'm really hoping that Sturgeon opens on the Willy soon so I can bring home a keeper with a camera or two in their gut. Should be some interesting photos!

 :laughing4:

Seriously though, it was funny as hell when that ling took your lip gripper.

Hmm. Did you happen to get that on video? It would probably be pretty funny to watch now. However, I don't recall laughing much at the time :BangHead:

Nothing to really do with the thread (like that ever matters...lol), but why couldn't you guys keep and count your Cabbies? I'm guessing season, but am curious.

Yeah, they've been closed for retention since sometime this summer.

I did my best to hook one without and adipose fin, but they are tricky little fish.

Me too, but I haven't caught one since December 4th last year.  Seems that the Chehalis river being netted 5 days per week all year long has an effect on being able to catch Steelhead.   >:(

I'm kinda shocked too there's no Steelhead entries.

Ouch bro! That really sucks they're allowed to net that many days in the week. I landing 2 wild Winter Steelies on the Clackamas last winter, but no dice for AOTY points. I'm looking forward to this year though. I'm planning on a lot  more floats down the Clack in the next few months.

They better watch out, I just picked up a steelhead rod from Fisherman's yesterday. ;D  Hopefully, there will be a few added next year.
