Is this another new candidate for an AOTY fish - the Willamette brown trout. No closed season, but the runs vary :) On a related note, I am not letting anyone borrow my Hawg Trough when it comes.

Tis the season....

One of these days they'll finally isolate storm runoff from the sewage system.......

But that would prove detrimental to the corn-eyed brown trout population native to most industrial rivers.

What storm? It came from a taco hut.

Best to heed the warnings, dudes.  I once neglected them, went prone paddleboarding amongst the dooker flotilla, and had a fun visit to the dermatology clinic wherein numerous professors and residents scraped me with razor blades and scratched their heads with confusion as to what was causing the mysterious and rapidly spreading rash.  Also had the same result after an ill-spent evening with some bank residents at Hagg, but the diagnosis was more easily obtained.  Yet more painfully treated.

Given the source of our current chrismas poo, maybe this version is more appropriate...

Perfect :)

FYI, the brown trout are a native species. Environmental groups are trying to get the sewage systems removed to restore their natural habitat. Why I just got back from doing my part to help with the re-stocking program - heads up because it was an oversized.

So much for the recently completed "Big Pipe" that was supposed to take care of all this sort of thing (combined sewer overflows).

I may be wrong but I don't believe that the big pipe project is complet yet. I know that the storage area that is being used for material still has a stock pile of pipe and there are still holes open. That last I heard was that it is only partially being used. I am sure there is more money from Portland residents in the pipe than overflow water. :-\

perhaps the money the state plans to spend on the new marine reserves would be better spent on completing needed projects such as this.  :pottytrain4:

The Big Pipe projects are done, although more projects remain, and the bill we a long time in paying, I'm sure. Glad I'm not a resident of Stumptown. For more info:
