What could you do with a Yugo or Trabbie?

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Back in the early 90's i was working in post war Kuwait for various companies. One of the local dealers, Al Ghanim i think it was, was liquidating Yugo's. Buy one, get one, KD1200.00 plus the 2nd one came fully equipped with another cars worth of replacement parts in boxes in the trunk and rear seats.. Trabbies were actually collector items there.

<current USD to KD excahnge listed by OANDA.com shows it to be $3.58 to one Dinar, which means it's held steady>
As of July 12th, I am, officially,  retired.

For a while, I thought spot was the coolest guy on here.  A long while, in fact.  Insayn has now taken, eaten, and crapped onto my lawn the cake.  Hats off to you and your sheer awesomeness, sir.

Chumster, sorry bout derailing your original post here, we got carried away.

You know the base that your GoPro came attached to, black box lid?
Don't toss it out as it is actually a usable mount for things like paddle boards.
Just trim it to fit and glue, screw, velcro, or double side foam tape that sucker down.
Lots of surface area for adhesion.

That's what I did, too.  Great Craigs think alike. ;D

I also used the clear plastic to cut a rain shield that mounts on top and keeps the water dripping down onto the lens.  It is functional, but I think I will make a better version this weekend.

Ya know, I saved that mount and box, and am pondering using it for the board.  It seemed far too nice to toss.  I've been having fun with the camera, and will post something up as soon as I use it for its intended purpose.
