New Hobie TV show on Versus (NBC Sports and Outdoors)

"HOBIE® OUTDOOR ADVENTURES TV SERIES DEBUT

We are excited to announce that a new series featuring the use of Hobie Cat® products called Hobie Outdoor Adventures will debut on Thursday, December 29th at 8:30am EST on the Versus Channel. The series will air once per week for 13 weeks, and each episode will feature a different adventure centered around a Hobie Cat product, from night fishing to the Transparentsea voyage on Hobie Mirage® Tandem Islands. At the conclusion of the 13 weeks of Hobie Outdoor Adventures, the same time slot will feature the IFA Redfish Tour Television Series, with a segment of each episode dedicated to the IFA Kayak Fishing Tournament sponsored by Hobie Cat. As of January 2, 2012, the Versus television network will become NBC Sports and Outdoors, so be sure to verify air times with that channel in mind come the new year. Please note that it is possible the January 5th episode may be pre-empted, so check your local listings.

Hobie Outdoor Adventures will also air twice weekly in the state of Texas on the Texas Channel. Our air times are not confirmed at this writing, so please check your local listings. Nat were you able to find it on your network listing? I checked with comcast and found nbcsports but no Hobie Outdoor Adventures. I also went to their web site and could not find it either.

The show finally appeared on my AT&T uVerse TV listings this morning, for Jan 12.

I spoke with the host of the show Morgan Promnitz a couple weeks ago and he mentioned things may be a little messed up the first episode or two on the west coast, do to the purchase of versus by NBC and then the purchase of NBC by Comcast, so stand by. I'll post a link up later today of the 1st episode which features Morgan fishing for Stripers near Salem Mass with Hobie team member Marty Mood..

Still not on the Comcast DVR schedule.

Yah, I couldn't find it either.  I will keep on checking my DVR.  The Striper shootout, which they are fishing in,  was one of my favorite tournaments to fish.  I modeled both the sturgeon and bass tourneys after it.  The last year I fished it  I saw both the sunset and sunrise before I realized I was to tired to keep on fishing.

It looks like the west coast time slot for the show is going to be Thursday's at 8:30am on channel 32 or 732 for HD if you use digital comcast. If you use a different provider then Comcast, just search your provider for NBC sports channel(previously versus). It doesn't show up on this weeks schedule but does appear on schedule starting Jan 12.

Looks like for Dish Network the NBC channel is 151.

We could just keep passing along the link if the channel's not available in your neighborhood. I have a feeling Hobie might continue to have these episodes available online.. Maybe? We'll see soon
