I have Direct Satellite tv service(ch.220) and watched Jammer catchin' chinook and a nice pot o' crabs for the Hobie team Wednesday right at Noon.
Jammer had 'em out a Pacific City.
Looks like Hobie knew who to call for fun and action in the NW!!
Sweet!

HELL YES!  Now THAT'S some good television.  You guys look great!  I love your quote: "Kayak fishing is a lifestyle...not doubt about it"

Thanks for the online link.  It was great to see a kayak fishing show about our Oregon fisheries.  However, I'm a little disappointed with the fact checking..

Haha...well if you go back far enough all species are related, right? Primordial slime?

Wait, I keep forgetting. The earth is only 10,000 years old.

Awesome!

At ~18:20, I think I see Craig and Eric and Jim and... ?

If they had panned out a little more I'm sure you'd see me pushing my car out of the soft sand. (Damhik!)
Thanks for sharing; glad I'm not in it. LOL
My wife thinks fishing is merely guys wandering around like idiots swinging sticks in the air. Many of my trips prove how smart she really is.

Very cool!  Pretty neat seeing shots of the local WillUmette River  :o on the program.  From my experience, the best side of GR Park!

Also learned something new - I've always thought the plural for sturgeon was...  sturgeon.  Not sure why, just seemed right.

Thanks for sharing!

It depends.  It's much like "fish" vs "fishes".  If you are referring to multiple species of fish, it's fishes.  However, if you're referring to multiples of the same species, the plural is just fish.   Same thing with sturgeon.

"I caught four sturgeon yesterday."  Is correct.
"The sturgeons of the West Coast are the green and white sturgeon."  Is also correct.
"Byrce and Morgan caught many sturgeons." Is incorrect.

I loved the episode. Although, that first sturgeon looked more like a crank bait than a sturgeon. I didn't they hit bait being that small.

Yes, that was us.  Morgan borrowed my red Outback for the show.  He, Bryce, and some friendly dory men were kind enough to push me out of the deep sand, too.  I have never got stuck before with that vehicle, but the narrow trailer wheels and low trailer clearance lead to me plowing a lot of sand and hanging up the trailer.  Live and learn.  The crab were awesome afterwards. Yum! Kiwanda Jr. was the chef and the camera boat owner.  Ling Banger was on the boat assisting, as well.

I think Jim took this picture, but I am not sure:

Sinker (Eric) also caught a beauty of a coho that day:

Cool stuff! That's a really cool crab trap that catches crab without any bait ;)
