WR, if you are serious about flying down there I can bring my T-13, Surf to Summit seat, a paddle, rod holder, Cuda fishfinder (non GPS), a battery and a Wheeleze kayak cart for ya.  As it looks now, Yaksurf and I plan to car pool down in my Toyota where I'll have our Hobies on the truck rack, and I can easily carry the T-13 on the "Yak-A_Haul-it" tent trailer.  8)

The other good news is that the airport is directly adjacent to the launch, the campground and other accomodations.  Easy walking distance.  Plus, there will be squadrons of beer sipping NCKA willing shirpa types all over the place.   ;D
See you at Gimme Shelter

Actually, after talking to Yaksurf just now over the phone we have two fully equipped kayaks (a hobie Outback, and an OK T-13) that we can haul down there to the campground that you and Demonick can pilot.  We even have several tents (2, 6, and 8 man) tents we can provide as well.   Y'all would just need to bring your personals, fishing/kayaking gear, clothes, sleeping bags/cots, and food.  We will also have plenty of camp gear for cooking and such. It would pretty much come down to how comfortable Demonick is with the landing strip down there.  Could be windy, and or foggy.

I think WR was just throwing out ideas guys.  Demonick has never posted in this thread.  It's entirely possible that my reading comprehension has failed, but I don't think WR indicated that he could attend either.

Yeah, I know.  I just wanted to throw it out there in the event that they had the opportunity.   8)

Yes Allen, that was some weekend  ;D

Thanks for making the trip, it really was a lot of fun. The weather turned out to be great and the fishing was a success as well. You guys really know your stuff.

Great idea to create this website, it gives us the feeling of having our own home. It's allready a shortcut to my desktop  8) Cheers!!!

It's always nice to see some pix so here are a couple from the latest Sombrio expedition

First pic : Steve heading through the surf
Second pic Tom  (Fishin T) and his new Hali (made in Canada)

How about you Lee and Rav? Roland,  Ed & I are seriously considering taking the drive. If we do, we're gonna probably leave early Thursday 5/10 and prefish on the Fri before the tournament.

I'm looking forward to meeting some NWKA competitors this year!  If any of you guys can make it you know NCKA will roll out the red carpet and help you pull off the long trip.   :)
See you at Gimme Shelter

As soon as we finalize, I'll hit you up on the camping and fish license info.

So last year, along with the T13 Angling Edition, the winner of the tournament received a couple of custom troughs - one ceramic miniature and the other clear oldgrowth redwood and 36" with abalone inlay.  The winner also recieves a 10" abalone with a custom "tag" signifying "AOTD".  That's Angler of the Day...  Sportsman of the Day also gets a 10" ab with custom tag.  Every year I hand out Hawg Trough extensions, and they're always needed.   :)

I want you guys to know:  I am only making registration available on NCKA.  I've only advertised the tournament there and on LCKA's Facebook page and here.  I'm interested in having NWKA join us because I know you'll be like family to NCKA.

Thank you for the lively input for a tournament that's 3.5 months off and 100's of miles away.   :-*
See you at Gimme Shelter
