Dog rescued by Rory on his kayak!

I caught the story on one of the network "NBC" shows where they interviewed Rory.       I don't know how many  AOTY points his actions earned, but as far as the Good Guy award goes.... Hands Down Winner !!! 
Great to see someone who's efforts brought some light to such a tragic event.

It was on the local news this morning, they seemed to be unaware that Rory is from our area though.

Looks like The Associated Press picked this up so it's going to be plastered around the world. Rory is posted up bigger than Mitt Romney on the CBS site!

Just saw a 2 minute piece on Fox News.  It's the big time!  Watch those YouTube hits climb now!

Keeping an eye out for "Tebow/Rory - 2012" bumper stickers.  Or should that be "Rory/Tebow?"

Just listened to Rory's interview on 97.3 FM ...

yeah, it's pretty weird.  especially considering that when I put that video up on saturday, I had no idea where barney came from.  sad when all the pieces came together.

The AP ran a story (Probably the worst-written one, unfortunately.  Do I really sound that dumb?) and that went out to every AP outlet on the planet.  Kinda blew it up even more. 

Dr Chen reached out to me to say thanks which was really cool.  They are actually avid kayakers, and have two yellow kayaks (one theory suggests that's why barney swam to me). 

But I ain't got nuthin' on this guy!

Yeah, I talked to them yesterday and they ran my part of the story at the top of the show last night.  Unfortunately, looks like they don't put their segments online.  For a trashy celebrity gossip program, I think they did a really nice job.  I think tonight's segment will be with the Chen family but I am not totally sure.

I see a Late Night appearance in your near future.
If you get flow out to NY I know some great guys to kayak fishing with out there!
