Decided to hit my favorite winter time lake down here in CA.

Got on the water a tad before 6:30 and made my way to the buoy line.  Stuck a schoolie right before the buoys.  Hit 3 more before 8:30 then the bite died.  Too bad no one else except Bill was on the water by that time.  All fish came on the "Forebay Secret Lure" and were CPR'd.  Bill managed a nice LMB too.

Wow, the hills are still brown.
OFB can have an awesome bite and then just plain shut down. Looks like you got it right on time. Nice work.

CBY.  I live in Seattle, but work in San Jose.  I hop back and forth every other week or so.  I was supposed to head up to Seattle this weekend, but took one look at the weather forecast and well ... you can understand my decision.   ;D

Yes, the hills are still brown.  It sucks as that means Tahoe has no snow.   :'(

Yup, it is rare for the Forebay striper bite to last much longer than mid morning.  I switched to a little bit of LMB fishing after that.  Got one to the boat that spit the hook as I was reaching for the camera.    The striper bite can pick up in the late afternoon until sunset, but I was off the water and on my way home by noon.
