I'd snag one, but there's no way I can make it down to the show on those days by those times.  If it was a weekend I'd be there.

If you can do a seminar anywhere in Whatcom, Skagit or Snohomish county I can probably make it, depending on exact schedule.  Best for me would Bellingham or Anacortes, maybe Everett/Mukilteo.

We just may have some later this year. Will post when plans are firm.

Seattle to Portland sometime on a weekend would be nice. Is anyone doing the Pac NW Sportsman Show?

True

The only sportsmanship show with kayak fishing in attendance is the Portland show. Next Adventure will have the Hobie local team (Jeff, Nate, Michael) and also Mark representing for the paddle crew.

Zee, good luck on your seminars at the boat show.  Unfortunately Seattle is a bit to far for me to travel.

There is going to be an Ocean Kayak booth at the Portland Sportsman's show too.  If anyone wants $2 off admission ticket coupons to the Washington, Portland or Central Oregon shows I have some at home and there a plenty more at the Next Adventure Paddlesport Center.

I wish I knew how to target those suckers. Just the legs were over 35 pounds of meat.

A big thumbs up :icon_salut:to Zee for his seminar at the Seattle Boat Show. He did a great job
representing Hobie & NWKA. This guy takes time out of his day/away from his family to promote and teach the sport. Thank you Zee. Can't wait to put into action some of the tips that slipped out
from the Sensai's lips......... ???  I especially liked the topic covering salmon........ techniques.
very useful. Once again, THANK YOU!!  :blob6:

When I was in college in Tacoma we used to build traps for them and do pretty well with them.  We basically made a weighted wood box that had one of the side ends with a hinged door.  To the other end of the door we attached the line which ran through an eye bolt above the section where the door would close when pulled.  Run this to a float to the surface and when you pull the trap the door closes.  We would put in some clams etc. and leave the trap out for a few days.  Since they are looking for a cave or nice hiding spot this worked real well to give em a new home.

Sorry I am working on a stripped down lab computer without any drawing software or I would mock up a quick pic.  If you are in Tacoma and leave the harbor at Point Defiance set some to the north in the slag pile there are some nice ones there.

No worries. A big thanks to all those who came out last night. It sure is a fun time talking kayak fishing and love to see the enthusiasm out there. One more show tonight and maybe.. maybe, one on Sunday too. I'll check back in on that.
