Sunday is out for me. I will be out of town.  I'm open for the rest of the week.

Maybe this next part should be on another post.

I've been thinking, there is a spot in the Multnomah channel that I would like to try for Sturgeon.  My dad and I used to fish it alot when I was younger. I think that it would be worth exploring before the season opens. Anyone interested?

I would much rather be up a creek without a paddle than down one.

I bought three Crab Max traps, I think they're gong to be perfect for kayak crabbing since they're super light weight and compact. Probably not the best if you're planning to drop them on the way out and fish for the day and pull them on the way back in since they're really designed for dockside use where you drop and pull every 5-15 minutes. I think if you're trolling between traps it would be a nice way to go.

Hope to test them out somewhere in the next 2 weeks. Sounds like Nehalem is out for Monday though.

I'm going to play Monday by ear.  If it looks like it is going to be the best day that week I will still probably give it a go.

I am planning on fishing from a bank for steel on Sunday, then hitting up an estuary for crab early in the week if the weather is not too bad.

Sturgeon another day?  Only if I get a lot of my work done early.

Also, Noah, the crab rings at Dick's are 26.99 i think.  Get the black with green netting.

I may be up for the Multnomah Channel trip, I can hardly wait to get back home and start fishing. All this Florida warmth and sunshine is giving me S.A.D. (Substantial Adrenalin Delivery). I've been pouring over my Washington's Best Fishing Maps book the past two weeks and am drooling over the possibilities.

Yesterday I caught four 13-14" bass. Sadly my wife was ill when I returned from my trip and I had to bail on my trip with Walii in Jacksonville. She's better today and we're flying home Saturday night. Watch out fishies, iHop is comin' for ya!
