Or not...Tough day on the salt. goldendog kicked our butts with 3 fish landed..then me with one 16" cabbie and then poor old yaksurf with a skunkola..

only had about an hour of decent conditions until the wind whipped up from the south with a vengence.  Can't believe i'm still 0'fr on lings(even underlings)... :(

You guys had a big bright moon last night. They were up late with the munchies, and slept in on you.

It was a bit of a washing machine out there this morning. Still, not too bad until the wind picked up from the south. I was able to fish about the same amount of time as it took me to drive down to Sunset. I ended up with two blacks, a keeper ling, and also what I believe was a red irish lord, which I threw back. I lost a couple on the way up, and and also had a few bites!  It was definitely nice to get back on the salt. It's been way to long, and it's always fun fishing with CBY and Yaksurf. Jgrady, it was nice meeting you! I am sure you will be able to find a suitable yak thats in your budget. Keep an eye on the NWKA classifieds. There's some good deals there if you jump on them!

You can get into a decent used SOT for $650.  Hell, lots of good boats out there sell new for under $1000
