Andrew. FYI. reports I'm recieving from Samish is water is still way too cold for kookes. It's a higher elevation than Stevens but if we get warmer weather they might both be better. Forcast indicates cooler days/showers for the next few days then a fairly nice Sunday. I might try Stevens myself. Do have the day off Sun.Good luck wherever you guys go and call if you decide to head down my way.

Done with the test.  Hope I passed.

The Murf and I are hitting Lake Samish at 0800 tomorrow.

Rich - FWIW, the guy at Holiday Sports said the kokanee were biting earlier in the week, but it was apparently sporadic.  We'll see how much it's improved by tomorrow.

Frankly though, I don't care if I get skunked.  I just need the relaxation.

Congrats on taking the FE exam.  One down and one to go.  The PE was a lot easier than the FE.  Good luck fishing tomorrow.

If you do Alder, carry a 2 or 3oz banana sinker and troll a dick nite or wedding ring at around 1.5-2mph.  In the past I usually hook up at a rate of 5 per hour with that setup.  Focus trolling around the island just in front of the dam.

But, the kokanee in American Lake are bigger, and it's a shorter drive for you.  It's not as scenic though.

I assume we're talking about one in the same, in reference to American Lake. The one that has the VA at one end? And your saying there's Koke in that lake?

Congrats on passing the FE.  I got all excited thinking that they may have posted the PE results too, but I have to wait another few weeks.

There's a guy here at work that took the PE exam too.  He's been checking about every hour since I told him the FE results were posted.  No info for him yet either.

Good luck though.  Hope you passed!
