ORC 2012 Info

I've seen a lot of bits and pieces for info on the 2012 Oregon Rockfish Classic.   Could someone make a sticky of all the info?  I'm not even sure when it is.  I think Depot Bay is the location?

Are the tent sites pretty nice or is it mainly the RV'er's?  I might try to make this....

The official announcement is coming soon.  I've already confirmed with Chinook Bend for Father's Day weekend.  Depoe Bay is the venue.  Probably 1st light till 1:00PM.  Just need to get all our endorsements from the local authorities so our permit will get approved.

I'm glad to hear that so many of you are chomping at the bit to attend!

Don't forget; There will be lots of volunteer opportunities for competitors and their significant others.  If we get enough volunteers, the individual efforts required are small.

Volunteer Opportunities:
- Fish Weighing at the Park adjacent to the Depoe Bay Launch
- Fish prep for our fish fry
- Fry cook (For the Awards Banquet Potluck)
- Hall set-up
- Auxilliary prize solicitors
- A/V coordinator (for a banquet slideshow of all the days action)

Oly - There are lots of tent spots but the ones with firepits etc. are on a 1st come / 1st serve basis.

He's poking fun at me, he pretty much does that in every thread he can.

The tent area is a large grassy area where you just find a spot to put your tent. first come get the best spots. It has a nice big fire pit and covered deck for partying/cooking.

The owners are way cool and usually end up drinking with us a little...They bring out piles of fire wood and we have great bonfires.

I'm sure as things get firmed up there will be plenty of info. This is a good event for nubiles too as there will be plenty of old salts to group up with.
