We are going to hike out on the north jetty to fish in the morning and maybe launch the iHop in the afternoon. Any advice?

Better ideas on where and how to fish or crab in the area.

I've always had good luck just outside of the piers with crab traps off my kayak, it was dead out there last weekend though so who knows now?

Word at Fisherman's yesterday is the Wilson is hot for steelhead. If the crabs aren't home, head up the river.

It was really hot yesterday (see my Skunk Chronicles post). Nearly every drift boat said they'd caught at least one, almost everyone was using roe. Too bad we didn't have any eggs or enough time there to get properly rigged. It would definitely be worth the trip next week. Unfortunately I'm flying to Denver Thursday for 2 week and will probably miss the rest of Steelhead season there. If a few of you can make it down here I think you could do a super nice drift from several put-ins and take outs. Really a beautiful stretch of water to fish.
