Do any of you have the Go Pro HD Hero 2 yet?  I'm looking into buying one at the moment.  The Go Pro site has 3 packages to choose from.  Any ideas on which way to go?

I have the motorsports edition.  Came with most of the mounts I've needed for kayaking, snowmobiling, snowboarding, ATV, only mount I've bought that I felt I needed for hunting has been the head mount.  Would like to get the chest mount too for my flag football league

If you do buy one you should  check out REI (rei.com). Join as a member ($20) and get 20% off the camera. This is good until April 15th. Also, you will earn a rebate of 10% of the net price of the camera for next year (another $24). I do not think you can get near this price anywhere else.

It all depends on how you plan on using the camera.

I have the suction , head, handlebar, 1" ram ball + camera tripod, and other random sticky mounts from different GoPro camera packages. The mount I have used the most is a bicycle handle mount. It's attached to a 1/2" pvc pipe that I use for a flag pole.

My Go Pro is broken already????  ARGH!!!!

I've only made a few short videos just to test it out and now it won't power on.  It won't get charged by the computer and the little screen on the front is always blank..... WTF?

I've submitted a support tocket to Go Pro..... I guess I'm not taking the camera Turkey hunting tomorrow.... BLEEP!!!!

Anybody else have problems with theirs?

So, in essence if Justin didn't actually purchase his at REI, he just needs to join REI, purchase another GoPro and take back the broken one the next day and ask for his money back?

Not that I would suggest that, as this would be dishonest.  ;)

I just got back from hunting and decided to try turning it on...... it is working now....   argh!!!  It says the battery is dead so i'm giving it a full nights charge.....

I think I'll order one of those wasabi battery combo's that was on another thread here.

I received my new batteries and charger the other day. They are pretty nice.  The only problem is that my Go Pro isn't working again!!!!

I guess I'm going to have to send it back for repair after all.  :(

This is starting to bum me out.

I bought one a couple of months ago. Not sure how much Ive used it, maybe 4-5 hours. So far no problems, the video is outstanding. One weird thing that happens is, sometimes it takes a bright picture, then you can take a picture immediately after (as in using the burst mode) and the picture will have a dark tint in it. I have seen this happen with other go pro cameras as well. I don't think its the SD card as Im using a class 10

It can be pretty hard to depress the buttons and you don't want to do it blind. You want to make sure you see the camera is on before you mount it. One time I turned it on while wearing it, or so I thought! I know I heard it beep, but maybe I shut it off? Anyway, No videoing was done that day! And when trying to use the burst mode Ive missed some shots cause that button is so hard to press just right!

I go t an email yesterday saying that GoPro is replacing my camera and I should have the new one this week.

I'm wanting to mount the camera on a pole behind me and to the left.  about how long of a pole do I need to mount it on?

Should I just start long with a PVC pole and keep cutting it down until the video looks to have a good angle?

Justin I made mine exactly like the link below except I threaded on the gopro monopod adaptor. I also marine gooped the threads and exterior of the base instead of just screwing it on.
It's cheap, strong, and works very well.

I did domething similar with one of these ($11.78).  I made it so it fit in a Scotty flush mount.
