Since the weather seems to be cooperating, any info on the tide swings?

There is no tidal influence this far upstream and above Bonneville.   ::)

As much as I like plotting my own data, this is better.
http://www.cbr.washington.edu/dart/adultpass.html

You can modify this any way you want. Here's a look at the last seven years or so of data up through mid April.  I added the black spot to show where we as of yesterday.

I'd love to see that chart showing what the dam spills were in those years ...

Okay, here is Spill and Temp for the same years and date range.
I could put them all on the same plot, but it's ugly.   Maybe I'll do a couple combined graphs for single years.

Temperatures in the 70's?!?!?

OK, I'm changing my plans.  It's official, I'll be camping alongside you boys.  LeRoy issued me T7 for Saturday and Sunday nights.

Hi Neighbor  ;D btw guys, i checked the tent today when i pulled it out of storage and it sleeps 6! so, still plenty of room if you need to drop a fart sack and a bunch of pillows..
As of July 12th, I am, officially,  retired.

How much space for tents is left?  Given the weather, I'm thinking of camping overnight as well to avoid the o-dark-thirty drive.

It didn't sound like there were too many people booked for this weekend when i talked with Leroy.  I'm sure there are still spaces.  I believe it's a max of 4 per site.  I'm travelling with the girlfriend and youngest son this weekend but if they're booked up you can pitch a tent in our spot.

I just checked the Army Corp site for the latest chinook count..

509 springers over the dam today!!
We still have a couple days to go.  Allen I think we picked the perfect weekend for this...nice weather and early enough that these salmon haven't stared at a million orange magnum wiggle warts yet.

The web generated charts doesn't have today's data so I added the new point to my old graph.

If I read the regs correctly, the limit is 2 clipped fish (chinook or steelhead) in any combination.  Right?

Spot, what's the URL you used for that screen capture? I could potentially use the XML format link to automate this a bit.

Thanks,
Brian

While it's true that in the Lower Columbia it's two fin clipped fish of which only one can be a chinook, Drano is a WA tributary/lake.  There currently are no special regs for Drano Lake so .. Yep, 2 fin-clipped fish (chinook or steelhead) in any combination.
