I recently moved my bottom fishing tackle from the large plano watertight box to two smaller ones (so they fit inside the 8" hatch).  The large plano box is now serving as a Hobie repair kit.

Contents are:

Pliers
Wrench
Screwdriver
2 standard sized rudders
4 standard sized mirage drive fins with posts
Loc-tite glue
Zip ties

We both have spare rudder pins in our rear hatches.

What other REPAIR specific equipment would you recommend?  I'm NOT asking about flags, bilge pumps, first aid kits, etc.

This box isn't designed to be on the yak all the time, just on long range and camping trips.

You have a pretty good repair kit as is.
I would throw in a few extra nylox nuts for the drive cables,  a spare rudder pin and either replacement rudder cables or heavy braid.

Looks good.

I add spare drain plugs and a couple of pad-eye screw-in attachments for the seat and bungees. Last summer busted my seat pad-eye on the water which was a pain.

This is what I have, but other than the spare rudder pins and pedal straps, the kit has been staying in the truck.  I figure I can always paddle back to the launch and accomplish repairs onshore.  I may rethink this strategy and secure the repair kit in the front hatch in a waterproof box.  Other good ideas from this thread may make it into the kit, like rudder cable, screw-in pad-eyes, and goop.

Hobie Mirage Drive Repair/Spare parts kit:

(1)   V2 Chain assembly
(1)   Turbo fin replacement
(1)   V2 replacement injection molded sprocket
(1)   Pedal strap replacement (right)
(1)   Pedal strap replacement (left)
(2)   Turbo fin replacement mast (Threaded V2)
(4)   Stainless Nylock nuts for cable ends
(2)   Rudder pins

I feel the same way.

My mirage requires an Allan wrench to tighten the mast down.  Also for a long range or car kit I keep some wire nuts and wire connectors it saved me one day I was able to repair the wire and use my FF.
