I may be free this week one day.  I would have to check my calendar at work on Monday.  I have to work a day this coming weekend I think.  If it is Saturday, then I would have a day off during the week.  If it's Sunday, I wouldn't.

I'm going to try and hit Krispy Kreme in the morning for a dozen or two donuts before I get out there so people aren't fishing on empty stomachs (I'm hoping it'll help with my Karma). See you bright and early. I'm leaving Hood River at 5 a.m.

Decided to bail on springers and take my grandson to Battle Ground, I was in Colorado for his 10th birthday so today I hope to see him catch his first fish.

Good luck out there.

Craig, if you get a day off this week let me know.

The Columbia was in prime shape this morning, clear water, no wind and and about a dozen kayak fisherman out to show up the power boats. I wish i could have stayed out there longer, but it was not in the cards for me today.  I hope you guys got into some fish.

Now off to the Willamette to try for my limit.

Thanks to Spot and NDogg, but more so Spot. At least he had the common courtesy to harass some jacks and some natives, and not pull a keeper on the opening kickoff and run home with his football.😃

Kidding aside, I had a great time and got a great workout. Smelling 2 cycle stinkpots, the cigarettes and the burgers on the marine grills makes me appreciate the serenity of the salt that much more. Oh mighty Columbia I'm not waiving my white flag yet, I'll be back to try and pry thy bounty from your clenched fists.

Nice meeting all you new fellas, NWKA fever is spreading like a pox!

What a beautiful day!  Even better if you caught a fish.  I did 8.98 miles of trolling.  It would have been more, but a guide boat lost control of their salmon and it ran under my yak tangling my gear.  I tried to assist with the untangling and their line cut mine.  I was trying out a Long Liner ($14.99 and I did like it) in front of my flasher (11.99) and all was lost.  If you throw in the lead, hooks, swivel chains, etc... it was close to $30 lost.  Then, all the commotion attracted a seal lion and he won the battle for the fish.  However, he paid the price of getting tangled in all my gear. Nate got his salmon in what seemed like the first 20-30 minutes and had to pack it up.  Spot got a couple, but the rest of us only got exercise.

Here is Lingbanger with what looks like a barge barreling down on him.

Driving Down Mcg. Blvd. I think I saw NDog fishing by down town Milwaukie a 6:00 pm. Now that's hardcore to catch two fish in one day.

Great to get out there with everyone. Thanks for the use of the hat too. I can't believe I left mine at home. I left around 12:35 to start on my Honey-do list. No hits, no fish but it was good to get out and be introduced to a new fishery. Thanks again.
