I thought I'd snap a few pics of the craft and how I rigged it and such. First up is a Folbe Rod holder. Its Awesome. So easy to put a rod in and take it out. I bought the extension arm for it too but so far I think it was an un- necessary purchase.

Then we got the Lowrance Elite 4x FishFinder. I have it mounted on a Ram mount that was made for the elite/mark series. The transducer is under the seat, shooting through the hull. I attempted the foam/water method, but my water leaked out. No matter as the sonar seemed to work just fine.

Then the big ticket item, the scotty 1050 depth master. You'll notice the couple of lines tied to the handle. One is a limiter of sorts. That way I can't pull the brake too much and send the weight hurtling out of control. The other line is the one I pull on from the seat to release the brake. Kind of a work in progress still.

The pancake weight on their is an 8# and worked great. Didn't make any real noticeable performance loss while trolling. However it was not showing on the sonar at all. I had it down to 30 ft. Not sure if the profile of the weight is the problem, or if its out of the sonar range? Or I might not have had my sonar set up right. It was on general mode, with fish ID set. Also the way its angled in the pic, I didn't have it that way when I was testing it in the water so the weight might be better under the transducer cone.

Also all thats left when you remove the down rigger is the 1/2" thick base. And since its down in that little depression it only sticks up a 1/4" or so, so not a huge thing to have there permanently when its not in use.

Everything seems nice and sealed. Got into some pretty sloppy stuff and the only water in the yak was the stuff I used to try and fill up the ducer well.

Then there is the obligatory decals! Gotta at least look like a pro!

Don't quote me, but I think you're biased Nate.  ;D
