Would a butt or salmon be a valid fish for the tournament? It is the rockfish classic...

We talked about this at one point but can't remember what was decided.  I think there was talk during that discussion of doing something like a bonus for salmon.  Judges??

It was decided years ago that only rockfish, lingcod, cabezon and greenling would count towards points.

Dang I was hoping to target some Halibut.

If people fish those there is damn good chance that a big Cabby will win again!

don't beat me up to much but I was wondering.

I didn't notice until a couple days ago that all the talk about immersion wear was is either a dry suit, wet suit, or waders with dry top.

I have fish the Puget Sound, Hubock, and Ilwaco with Chest waders(with wader belt) and rain top.  The question is for ORC which I have already signed up and paid for will I need to find a dry top or dry suit to comply with the rules or will my set up work?

Please don't even attempt it.  A rain top isn't even close to a dry top and the Pacific Ocean is damn cold.
Either pony up and get yourself a dry top, or plan to work the weigh in station or something?

Only 34 registered?? Come on everyone. This only happens once a year and it's a seriously good time. Hanging out with all your homies you bash via keyboard and WA and OR all in one place fishing off yaks. A grub session at the potluck that's not to be missed and the prizes just keep coming. Mark's done an amazing job getting this all together and the prize list is just dreamy! Not to be missed!!

Semi dry tops are pretty reasonable.  They have neck and wrist gaskets made of neoprene instead of latex material.  A good idea with these is to wear a good belt around the waist of the top to provide a good seal.

MSW's long range forecast for Lincoln City is looking very promising.

Looks like all week is going to be a very nice one along the Oregon coast.  A few more hours work then it is home to rack the yak and hit the road to Lincoln City!!!!

Just like last year, all scoring fish need to be at the Weigh-in table by 2:00PM.

Especially MSW, their forecasts can be way way off IME.
