I just saw one at Walmart, think I'll snap it up. Spin or bait cast?

Well, this thread got a lot more mileage than I ever would have thought. Thanks DTS for making the video. I got the fish smoked up yesterday...gourmet fare! I probably won't go up again for now but maybe we could plan a September trip for AOTY upgrades.

I pedalled up Quartzville Arm to Q.Creek on wed and found 19 kokanee.  What a hoot.

Dang!! Way to go you guys! I don't think I'll be able to make it back up any time soon. :( :(

Barb, Could you divulge your method, please? Did you run into any rainbows? Someone on ifish said they had stocked 15,000 already up there.

I think it helps to "go out for a paddle", that's when I seem to catch the most fish!  Trolled up Quartzville Arm from the bridge to the head of the creek.  I had a few bites on a pink wedding ring using 1oz banana weight and doing some zig zags to speed up and slow down the lure.  Mostly just out for the scenery and sun.  Water temp was 56F then turned cold, 47F, up towards the creek and didn't see any more fish on the FF.  Trolling back I picked up a couple more bites near the bridge as I would cross into the shadow.  So, I pitched a jig under the bridge and let it sink to the bottom.  White buzz bomb with tuna corn.  Often times the jig wouldn't get to the bottom before hooking a fish.  They were all pretty little fish, but fun to catch.  Started fishing at 10am ended at 4pm.  Wind was pretty strong at times, so staying on the school to jig took some effort.

There is a yellow gate on the right and a make-shift boat ramp (drift boats and small crafts could possibly launch) about 4.7miles past Whitcomb, just before you go across the bridge.  The gate isn't always open, and water level needs to be fairly high to access for launching since the water gets deep in a hurry with a steep bank, but it's perfect this time of year if you want to go up Quartzville Arm.  Here's a pic - getting ready to launch.
