Oh yah, the look had me crackin up.

They have been more aggressive than normal this year.. I've lost a few out of the PB recently to the furbags   Really neat to get it on video!  Perfect example of how there is nothing you can do if they decide they want your fish

I'm going to give the seal some slack if it takes my springer. Maybe it will give me a chance to give the seal a lip piercing of a nice red 4/O hook. Thanks for the video and if you need a recipe for the head, I make a great Salmon broth and bean noodle soup.

Sorry man, but I had to laugh. That sucks. There's been way too many of those gluttons up in the Chehalis River the past couple of years, too. It opens up for springers May 1st thru the end of June, and I was going to go fish for 'em.
I think I'm going to use my ocean fishing gear and at least 20# leader so I can get my fish (if I get lucky) in faster. I don't know if that would help. I'd been using lighter gear and 12# leaders in the rivers.

Humm.... What's the ODFW's policy on marking a half eaten salmon on your tags. I wonder if it counts as a fish.

It really sucks, but next time I'll have to think twice about how long I can enjoy and play the fish. Next time it's straight to the net, bonk and move.
