That's awesome guys. Way to give those kayaks some fresh blood. Im guessing all these reports of quite a few fish moving through the lower Portland system are true. Nice job!

Thanks Jammer....at what point do you start thinking prawn spinners?

Not sure Jammers take on this but my experience is its a water temp thing.  Right now herring or prawn spinners are about equal (less than 52*), as the temps rise (54*+) prawn spinners will take the lead.

I  definitily agree with PP. 52* is $ using both prawns and herring and from 53-56*, Prawn's KILL IT!!

Dont have my ff installed yet,we dont trust j-feks. Anybody have a recent water temp for the willy? Do you trust thru hull temp readings?Other ways of getting readings?Thanks

I have an in water transducer (Lowrance Mark 4 DSI). Last evening, at George Rogers it was showing 59, and this morning 58. A couple hits, but no fish last night, nothing at all this morning. Didn't see anybody else score either.

Mainly, his statement  "Idont trust it". Also,it is a cheaper model shooting thru-hull.We thought the readings were high but , but actually the same as Sherminator. That being said,the temps mentioned by Jammer and Pelagic-are those surface temps or at depth? And if at depth,how does one get those readings? Thanks
