I'm fairly new (two years) to kayak fishing. My wife and I purchased used sit in yaks and I outfitted mine (Perception 12 ft America) for fishing.  I wanted a place to carry a rod out of the way from my paddle area and quick and easy to get to when my wife and I went exploring.

I attached a scent bottle holder for the rod butt and lay the tip on the carrying handle. The rod is out of the way and within reach. I added a anchor pulley system and a Boat Pack to hold my pliers and hook file.

I made a fun fishing machine that I really enjoy!

Sharp hooks!

Great idea with the scent holder. Thanks for sharing your setup. Looks pretty comfortable.
