Hello everyone. My name is Troy, I've looked around on here for a while
Time to join. I have been kayaking for about a year now. I have and
Emotion Glide 10' sit in kayak. I really enjoy it. It's not too heavy to carry,
Tracks good. And I have put quite a few miles paddling on it. Just recently
I mounted 2 flush rod holders behind the seat, and a Scotty bait caster in
Front of me. I also made a dashboard with a flush Scotty mount a cup holder
And a 6" hatch.  ;D

Welcome, Slasher! Have you hit the water to fish yet? What kind of fishing do you plan to do?

Post some pics of the yak.

I got my fishfinder installed. I ended up goin with the Hummingbird Pirahnamax 160. For the battery I used a 8 AA battery holder and ran some leads to attach to the power cable. And then threw it all in a dry bag. I haven't yet installed the transducer. I'm going to try a bowl behind the seat to see how it reads. Then I might permanently install it. I can't wait to go try it.

Yeah it's pretty decent. It's not too crowded and everything is mounted in front or behind my paddle stroke. So no interfering.

Yeah me too. I saw some guy. Sorry I can't remember his name. He was on a Hobie Pro Angler. A really nice yak. He had his dog on the back. I had went out on the willamette at the St Johns bridge. I was trying out my whitewater kayak, when I saw him. Wish I woulda been in my fishing yak. Either way. He was a nice guy.
