I heard that kayaks multiply quickly, but I now have a verified time period. I picked up my big, bright yellow Hobie Oasis at a Kayak Fishing 101 class last June 15th - just checked on that date. Tonight it was joined in my garage by a sleek ivory Hobie Revolution. today is June 5th. That makes it 356 days (leap year). Almost can't wait until May 27th, 2013!

One a year is the reproductive average for new kayaks in my garage. (I wonder what happens in there during the night.) The problem is all of the the toys that you have to buy for each new addition.  They won't grow and mature if you are remiss in the shower of useful but expensive gadjets.
Ah, but it is all worth it when you bring it out for that first test drive. The proud Poppa of yet another plastic fishing machine. Ready for the slaying of yet another mythical and often not realized denizen of the deep.

Congrats on the Revo!

Wow you have some fecund kayaks! They must reproduce by binary fission  :P

I don't know about kayaks, but fishing poles breed like rabbits.  The pole pile in my garage corner is so big my wife can't really tell when a new one is added  ;) .  I wonder if one can aquire enough kayaks to do the same thing?

We had 2, then kicked the Tarpon out.  Two new revo's moved in and last night they were joined by 2 eight foot kayaks for my daughters.  That makes the total 5.  The Coosa just kinda sits around taking up space.

My T13 adopted a Revo after about 2 years, and now the T13 hangs from the rafters, forlorn.  It gets taken out at least once, and sometimes twice a year.  It's sad really.  I think the kayak family is stable for a while.

Rods and reels however keep finding their way to my home.

For me 1 turned into 2 just one day later.  I then started shopping for a 3rd, the whole time still never having sat in a kayak yet.   OK,  I did sit in one on the floor of the store.   I am sure glad that when I finally got on the water in one,  I liked it.    :D
I used to think that Bigfoot might exist. Then I saw the reality shows where they are looking for them.  Now I am certain they don't
