This has been in the planning stages for some time now and it's finally gelled! The Yakfishing chats (YFC) is a small forum where kayak anglers will meet at a Hobie kayak fishing shop and chat about a specific part of kayak fishing. For example, how to troll in an estuary, gear prep for mooching, best ways to drift:cast for smallies etc.. It will be led by a Hobie team member who will choose the topic for the day. The really unique part of the YFC is it's built around the idea of interaction with all who are attending. So the Hobie team member who's leading the chat will introduce a topic to get it rolling but then that's where the participants get involved, ask questions, and really drill down to the details, so that when they walk home, each participant has a solid understanding of what the topic was and can apply that knowledge when they hit the water next.

The YFC will be happening from Washington to Oregon and the schedule will be posted soon. We hope to have a YFC every month so that by the end of the year we've covered a lot.

The first YFC will be in Seattle and times, dates, and subject will be updated. We hope you can make it!
