Brought to you by Dan at Hobiecats Northwest we'll have our first Yakfishing chat at their Bellevue store.
http://www.hobiecatsnorthwest.com/hobienorthwest/Hobie_Cats_Northwest.html

Topic: Rigging to mooch for salmon in Puget Sound
Date: Saturday June 30th @ 2PM
Location: Bellevue
Drinks & snacks provided for all attendees

The Yakfishing chats (YFC) is a small forum where kayak anglers will meet at a Hobie kayak fishing shop and chat about a specific part of kayak fishing. It will be led by a Hobie team member who will choose the topic for the day. The really unique part of the YFC is it's built around the idea of interaction with all who are attending. So the Hobie team member who's leading the chat will introduce a topic to get it rolling but then that's where the participants get involved, ask questions, and really drill down to the details, so that when they walk home, each participant has a solid understanding of what the topic was and can apply that knowledge when they hit the water next.

Hope to see you there!!

Bryce

Awesome idea Bryce!

That's a great way to move people up the learning curve.

Any chance of this being held in the PDX area on a regular basis?

Sheesh, what happened to our monthly PDX meetups? We've been dropping the ball the last few months. I think we need to get together after ORC to swap lies and such. Somebody pick a location, date and time and I'm in.

We've never done the PDX meet-ups in the nicer-weather months since we started doing them a couple years back.  They were meant to be a way to get your kayak fishing chat fix when the weather doesn't cooperate.  Nothing against you guys, but if I have an evening off in the summer, I'm gonna hit the water!  ;)

+1.  Our meet-ups are usually unplanned and on the water while chasing bass.  I usually have a few spare cold ones in case I run into anybody while I'm snagging the rocks at George Rogers Park.

Sounds fun, and the day before the crab opener no less.  Should be a good weekend.

I trust this is still a go?  I'm gonna try to make it over... how long is the discussion and what if I have nothing to add... since I have never mooched for salmon. :)
