Rory - what did you reinforce that pole with. it is barely bending? j/k But seriously my bass pole bent more then that pole with only a black on.

On a more serious note.  I should have some pics to come and one more video that may have just a tad of Mark C. humor in it.   What was it he was telling me?  Oh yeah I believe it went like this.  "Them fish won't bite them red ones!"

It wasn't a carp.  You can see all it's whiskers. 

This is why you might not want to eat fish out of the Willy river. lol

I did!  I caught my 28" Ling on the red/clear Hammer. 

Here's a video that OlySpec took of me catching my first fish in the salt.  Unfortunately it was from the rocks because the Ocean was angry that day.

Awesome job guys! Looks like the weekend was a blast! So jealous, so bummed I couldn't be there. Glad everyone had a great time, harassed enough fish for me too, and came home safe.

Side note: I built a custom rod, gaff hook, and fish bonker to add to the prize pool, but since I couldn't make it I will be donating them to the AOTY pool. Will post pics soon! -Anthony

This year our  team provided you with no threat.  Perhaps we'll get your fishing dialed in next year, if get to do ORC again. Spot and crew hosted a stellar event.
