Most of all, I'd like to thank Jammer for volunteering to run next years event.  I'm sure he'll make it bigger and better than ever!!!

-Allen

I'll second that emotion!  ;D

It's been a ton of fun putting this together for the last 2.5 years but I'm looking forward to having the time to hang around the camp fire talking story with the rest of you.  I have the utmost faith that Jammer will add some personal touches which take the ORC to the next level of awesome.  (Like finally getting Hobie to kick down a kayak.  Hint....hint...)

A word of advice Jammer, the up front work for the ORC begins in January.   >:D

Just curious.... why does planning start in January, and not start next week?
January would be the follow up on primary planning, no?

  I have no idea-------maybe a hobbit ??????

  Richard,
I've been a fan of Tolkien since the 60's.
Some of the kids on slope used to call me "Gandalf".
  I usually had a quick smart-ass reply............like "I am never late,I arrive exactly when I meant to".

Mark, you need to grow your beard out so you will indeed resemble Gandalf, its too short ;)

Congrats to Jammer and all the top finishers. You guys pulled out some great fish in tough conditions.

It was great to see old friends and get to meet some new ones too. To the Seattle guys I met, let's fish soon! Fishing for myself wasn't too hot. Got a few cabs and a lot of lings but nothing that amounted to much more than 30".  :( Like all have said, thanks to Mark and Co. for pulling this together. It was a real good time! Thanks to the NCKA crew for coming up and fishing with us.  And a big thanks for taking the reigns for next years' ORC Mike!

Never have I landed so few fish and lost so much lead in two days of salt fishing.
Never have I had such a good time fishing! Way worth it!

Special thanks goes to Noah for the sunscreen. That small gesture kept me on the water long enough to catch my personal best Cabby.  25-3/4" at 1oz. >:D
I was ready to pack it in until the that soothing feeling hit my toasted ears. Thats some fish catching stuff! Valley hats off to you Noah. :)

Thanks to all that made this happen and the character of NWKA.

Thanks for the offer WR---  believe it or not I do have a "Gandalf hat" already.
micahgee--I'm thinking about doing my "summer trim" on the beard anticipating warmer weather (if that ever comes).I've done the ZZ top beard too many times and it don't look pretty.Guess I'll stick with the Willy Nelson and call it good.
