Talked with some shops in OR over the weekend and the Yakfishing Chats will be in OR soon! Specifics will be posted here when they are ironed out.

More on the YFC: The Yakfishing chats (YFC) is a small forum where kayak anglers will meet at a Hobie kayak fishing shop and chat about a specific part of kayak fishing. It will be led by a Hobie team member who will choose the topic for the day. The really unique part of the YFC is it's built around the idea of interaction with all who are attending. So the Hobie team member who's leading the chat will introduce a topic to get it rolling but then that's where the participants get involved, ask questions, and really drill down to the details, so that when they walk home, each participant has a solid understanding of what the topic was and can apply that knowledge when they hit the water next.

Has there been any Discussion about the possibility of recording these sessions and making them available through a podcast?

There's just so much cool hanging off of that.  Nice work, Zee.  Such a great format...

That's been thought of but brings up some complexity. For example, there's people who don't want to be filmed/recorded so wouldn't be able to attend, more equipment, more complexity running the show etc. etc. If we can get some volunteers down the road that would be pretty cool. Thanks for the feedback!

A simple digital recorder would do the trick wouldn't it? Would people be next to having their voices recorded without them being identified?
