Anybody want to hook up at Hagg on Tuesday 7/3 for a little bass or trout chasing?

Catch small fish.

Spot, you foul temptress.  I was thinking of the coast, but I have never been to Hagg before.  Also, my AOTY trout is way lame.  I must upgrade.  I think I may be in.

Hey I think I may try to show for the rare and elusive fresh still water rendezvous.

And if history is any indication, that will assure Mark of limiting out in the first three minutes leaving me to fish solo without a hit for the next four hours. Seriously though, I wander if this might not be a little too much like trying to fly too close to the sun?

But alas, I take relief knowing there may be others there to share some of the humble pie with me.

Sameless Bump....

Once more, anyone free to fish Tuesday morning.  I'm thinking Boat Ramp A around 5:30AM or 6:00AM.

If history holds TX, you'll have the pleasure of watching my 9y/o put me to shame.

Check out craig's monster perch in AOTY recents. Still much better than me. 8 hours of fishing with only two insignificant hits. Spot?

It was a little windy and rainy at times.  I thought about skipping out but hey, a chance to learn a new lake with master Hagg fisherman Spot, who could pass that up. Right, TXpaddler.  ;D Just kidding Spot. ;) The going was tough and it didn't help that I forgot the FF and all my tools. I also grabbed the wrong poles.  One had a reel on it which did not work.  I caught six fish in about eight hours of fishing. I caught five different species, but no trout for the smoker.  I had to give up on the wedding ring spinner because I kept catching these monsters.  I switched to the Jointed Rapalla and caught both a smallmouth bass and a largemouth bass for some AOTY points.

Supersmall smallmouth Bass:

Bluegill

That last of the monster perch got me over 68 AOTY points.

Great job Craig. Those are some awesome fishes........ ::)
