I didn't want this to get lost in 10 pages of fog so I'm posting this again here.
Here's a horn that's extremely loud and works as long as you can breath and it's 100% louder than any airhorn with an empty canister.

It is manual, but if I'm not breathing there's less of a rush to find me anyway. It's a bit odd in that you don't blow into the orange end, you blow into a small hole in the other side of the white part. It looks like your blowing it sideways. I strongly suspect that some of the negative reviews on Amazon were due to the user not figuring out where to blow. :dontknow: It is painfully loud!

I have to agree it is really loud. It also takes up less space than an air horn. It is always in my crate.

REI has something similar for 3 bucks.  I wanted to try it out at the ORC, but I was beat to the punch by someone with an air horn. :'( :'( :'(  It is supposedly loud enough to be heard over a mile away.

I blew it in my garage. Not a good idea. y wife and I were both deaf for awhile. I wasn't very popular with my wife or the neighbors.

I think next year we need an official ORC bugler to anounce people leaving.

I can see the headlines now. "Towns people pummel local man as he blew an obnoxiously loud horn for the hundredth time:  Steve VanDyke a once rational man was admitted to...
