I bought the Outback today!  Bright Yellow!  had an two hour test peddle!  Sure will save my old wounded shoulder!  The Hobie dealer in Sooke sells them for the US retail price!  No Canadian mark-up!  Alan was great to deal with!  He included the basic wheels and Turbo fins for free!

Thanks Guys!

Just sold the Trident Prowler a half hour ago!  Got $700 for it.  It was a steal for the guy!  Came with paddle, rudder kit, homemade trolley and cheapie Hummingbird FF.

That takes the sticker shock out of buying a Hobie!!

Excellent choice!  I know you will enjoy pedaling instead of paddling and also rigging the new ride.  Congrats and enjoy!

I had a chance to Bass fish in an older Outback while on vacation in California, and was really impressed with it.  It turned out to be an expensive vacation since I ended up selling my old OK Prowler 15 and buying a new Outback from Camano Marine.  I've since fished Rufus Woods lake with it and will never go back to a paddle only kayak.  I'm 69 and find it easier to handle than my 15' Prowler.  It will fit in the bed of my Nissan Frontier for short hauls.  Now the fun begins as I consider rigging options that don't involve too much drilling and cutting.....

This is a great site for info, and I've used it since before the Prowler 15 first came out.  It is an excellent kayak, but the Outback is a much better fishing platform for me.

Great purchase, you wont regret the buy and yes, that is a steal of a deal!  I have 3 Hobies now, working on 2 more.... They are the best in my opinion and so fun to fish from!  Can't wait to see some great fish from your yak.

Sorry Tom!  Somehow I missed your reply!  My In-laws live in Metchosin on William Head Road and I live on Happy Valley Rd.  Send me a PM if you want to go for a peddle!
