Figure i would start a thread for planning the saturday potluck.

was thinking instead of doing deep fried fish we could  do foil packs and through them on the grill? I'm open for other ideas too.

Post up what your thinkimg about bringing to the potluck so we don't have too much of the same item.

I'm no chef but I'll bring whatever you need, potatoes, carrots, onions all go well in foil packs.

Add some garlic and sour cream to those packs (along with salt and pepper) and you'll be in camp cooking heaven!

I went Halibut fishing a couple of weeks ago and saved the cheeks and belly for a batch of chowder. How does that sound for the potluck?

it would be nice to have a propane BBQ  but i guess we caould do briquets in my BBQ. pretty pointless to cook foil pouches over briquets though but it's all i got... If it's not too much hassle bring the stove that way if we do need it we got it.

sounds good dana.

mmmm, right on!, a good way to do the corn is leave the husk on soak in water and just through them directly on the grill. this is were the briquets will come in use.

Maiden the Shade (this one is yummy) http://www.ninkasibrewing.com/beers/maiden
Radiant Ale http://www.ninkasibrewing.com/beers/radiant
Ice 9 http://www.ninkasibrewing.com/beers/ice_nine (haven't tried it yet, have to check availability).
