Planning on launching from cannon beach or tolovana park early Sunday and would love some company. There appears to be good structure about a mile out from haystack rock as well as at two rocks a mile out from Tolovana park. Anybody have any luck out there?  Feel free to PM me if you don't want to broadcast it.  Hope to launch around 7:30 am.  Swell forecasted at two feet so far.

Yeah I was looking at saving up points for AOTD, but the forecast for this weekend is too damn flat.

I'm thinking DB for salmon on Saturday.

Well, let's keep an eye on the forecast. I could do DB but at this time I'm inclined to try a new spot. I see possible structure on the charts and want to see how the fishing is.  Maybe troll for salmon on the way out.

Yeah maybe I spoke to soon. I'd like to take girlfriend and the dogs up to Big Creek if it's sunny.

I'll give it a go tomorrow. Hope to see some folks out there.

Was that you I saw out by the "wash rock" on Sunday.  I was in the Yellow dory.  How'd you end up doing?

I was just out for a quick trip.  Didn't get any salmon, caught 3 bass and about 20 or so crab.  26 tuna the day before, so I had to get back to the house and start carking them.

Yes that was me, see pm.  I limited on the blacks. A ling would have been nice but I got some Mackerel which is a new fish for me. We'll see how they taste.

How far out did you go for the tuna?  And did you crab offshore?  I tossed out one crab ring but no keepers.

Will need to post a picture from my computer later.

Glad to see you got into some fish.

We were about 35 miles offshore for the tuna.

As for crab, we have 5 pots we leave out all summer and pull on the weekends.  We got in the 20's both days this weekend.  I've never crabbed from the yak.
