i like the sound of the 150# mono.. i'm tired of tangles and it sounds like a decent solution. have any of you tried those rubber-ish shock leaders? it looks like a gimmick type thing but when spot mentioned less resistance when they;re tasting bait it doesnt seem like a bad idea. any thoughts?

They are by no means a gimmick and  when used at the right time they can be a very helpful tool.  I use them a bunch when targeting coho.  Coho trolling speeds are much higher than when fishing Chinooks and the bungie soaks up the shock and results in more hookups sticking. 

FYI.. If you use them, the bungie goes after the flasher, not before it
