We'll be visiting down Vancouver/Portland way later this month and I've wanted to fish the Columbia for a while now, anbody hit the bouy 10 area?  I'm not acquainted with this type of fishing so I'd love to have a guide.

Are you just in town the one day? I have to work that day but might be free the day after.

I have no experience on the columbia but would love to tag along around buoy 10 and get schooled as well if someone is schooling.

Well, my plans have changed.  I can't do the Big C this year, maybe next.
Wife's Plans trumped mine this time, but she is very gracious to me and tolerates my addiction well, maybe even enables it to some degree ;)  So I'm not complaining.

Does this mean you will not be meeting up with us for some fishing? :'(  I just wanted to make sure I am reading this right.  I don't mind bringing an extra yak on my trailer, but would be worried about it if it were sitting on the beach out of sight while being off shore 3 miles.  Better yet, I can bring three and your wife can go with us. ;D

That is an excellent offer!  My wife seems to have given priority to all the family/friend get togethers.
Craig,

The truth is, her folks have offered to take the kids so we could have a belated anniversary date, (it was last week), Sat seems to be the only day that will work.  However, our anniversary motif has always been oriented around water activity, this being due to our honeymoon being a Caribbean Cruise and this year we broke from this and took a hike so I think we need to get back to the water in some way, shape or form, this arguement might win the day for a Sat fishing trip, I take it you are in the PC crew?  There are 2 difficulties, the distance makes for about a 4 hr round trip for us and my wife is a bit of a wimp when it comes to surf launches, 2' being about the biggest she's paddled through.

Anyhow, I will give you the final word by tomorrow.

You are always welcome up here, and it is worth the trip as a rule.  Be glad to show you some great spots.
