Cheaper than back surgery?  Note:  I hate Thule as they didn't stand behind their product when one of their racks broke and I lost a longboard on the grapevine way back when, but seems like a good solution for the busted back set.

Welcome to the site and the PNW.  Sounds like your in my old neck of the woods.  When I lived in P-town my house was on 62nd and Tenino.  Definitely take these guys up on the offer to go fishing.  I would jump on it in a heart beat.  Here in SE WA the kayak fisherman are few and far between.
