I'm still trying to decide if she has an "innie" or an "outy" belly button.  At :48 it looks like an outy. I've watched it and paused it several times at several places, but I am not 100% on calling it an outy.  Let the debate begin.

tough call on the belly button in the OP vid- what is that thing? an innie and and outie at the same time?  i love the music, i think they borrowed it from a johnny holmes film  :o
The ladies from Spyders pics look to definately have innies.

Hydrospider- is that you SUP? that looks pretty SUPer!

i thing if i had the change for one, i would stick one like that in the quiver- is there a learning curve on these things? how often are you swimming? make a big cast, get a little off balance, shake back and forth a couple times, then the board slides out from under you, splash? ive stood in my boat before paddled around a little, but did not feel like it was something i would try while fishing, not in my boat anyways.

I hope one day, I'm out in the sound all lonesome like, my mirage drive breaks, and a sea lion steals my paddle. I tie a 12 oz weight and a few hundred hooks to my line and try to cast, and reel/pull myself to shore. Through the eerie fog, this paddle-board lady appears and offers to tow me into shore. Sure,.. it might take 2, maybe 3 hours; to go a quarter mile, but hey It's a great view on the way. Oh and I'ma keep trolling my herring as well.

Also: where do you put the fish finder on a paddle-board? Battery? :)

oh, oh, oh... I am waiting for someone to talk about their, "hand sculpted dug out canoe coated in walrus scrotum skin."   :happy1:

Everyone who I know that enjoys some SUP does it for the same reason I like kayak fishing... cause they enjoy it... that's good enough for me.  As for the advertisement - it is an effective piece of cheap marketing... guys are gonna start watching cause it is a pretty girl in a swimsuit... and SUP people who are interested in fishing will potentially see value in the piece of equipment she is using... She is the co-owner of the company (bote) too... well, everything else has been said.

That and they can't drive with a Fuck!

I think SUP would be great for sight fishing with a fly rod.  I think you might also need an anchor.  A body standing up makes for a big sail in a light wind.  I might have to try one next summer!

Yep, it pretty much goes down like that. The fishing specific models like Note, however, are pretty stable. So long as you're in the weight range, you'll be fishing off of it on your second outing. I have a YOLO yak, which is a rotomolded board made for white water and other bang-em-up environs. It's really stable...well, when compared to race boards.

Wind is a factor. For sure. A light breeze is enough to turn even the mellowest pond session into a drift fishing outing.

You can certainly mount a FF to the rotomolded ones. I haven't. But you can really rig them like kayaks. I just opt for a milkcrate strapped to the nose. Anchors are totally possible, too.

Jackson and other yak makes are getting in on the game, too. These boards are essentially stand-only kayaks, complete with all the bells and whistles you're used to. You even have the option to sit and employ a kayak paddle in the wind.

Careful there boss.   Seattle drivers do suck, in general, but whenever I see a major slowpoke, or an insane/dangerous driver far more often than not they have a B.C. plate on the car.

Dude! Im that idiot.  You owe me a hug.

I am very disappointed that I had missed one of your contributions to this thread, but was relieved to see that you chose to leave your post that referred to me as a "gawky fuck".
just like the gawky fucks that responded "oh, i dont care about the board where do i get one of her?" and hydrospiders "Yes,  it just so happens that beautiful and healthy women (who enjoy wearing bikinis) find the SUP enjoyable. Im just not wired in a way that finds this offensive but only as a plus"

Was posting that exciting for you Mav?
and what the fuck is someones negative opinion to you?
Well, its called a discussion counterpoint regarding the topic "Paddleboard Fishing". Know anything about it?
Judging by your written vulgarities and the content of your contributions, Id guess you are from California.
There are other sites that find value in your communication style and your level of experience.
Check one out. If not, Ill politely ask you to refrain from involving yourself with any threads that I initiate.
Thank you.

But if you want to believe your on the cutting edge, go ahead keep living the illusion no need to stop now. One day you'll find the limit, just hope it isn't fatal.
Now I'm confused. Whats with the grim reference to the limits and fatality?
Are you waving the safety flag now?
A long time paddler with his cranky pants pulled up that high? Im not buying it.
If you find value in self proclaimed expertise "Yaktrap" I've got one for you.
I've played Advanced Dungeons & Dragons for more than 30 years and I can smell a troll from a mile away. Im with Bill on this one. Go back to your hole.
But go with my thanks. For I now find myself inspired. I had been contemplating sharing more SUP fishing
adventures with the NWKA and this thread seems like a great place to document. This way your contributions can be referenced and immortalized.

My apologies to the NWKA at large. After a very difficult MNF experience I find that I am weak and have stepped into the monkey cage.

It was 100% jest.
Thank you for clarifying C_Run. I am also guilty of not using the Emoticons when attempting humor.
I had a feeling that this was your intent. Thanks again.

Hydrospider- is that you SUP? that looks pretty SUPer!

Yes, That is my board. 1 of 3. And the ladies are my usual SUP partners, SLF and her sister.
That day was mostly about the 5 yr old nephew and teaching him to get back into his boat. He can now climb out and back into his boat without getting his hat wet. Its pretty exciting.

The fishing board is even more exciting.
Much more stable and forgiving than the traditional SUPs.
My longest adventure on it so far was 9 miles of class I. The ability to bring up the seat and take a break was extremely appreciated. With the leg straps I can roll it. Its not as easy as boats like the 4.4, Kaos, or the Disco. But I have had some success.

Oh yes, the video.  Did anyone happen to notice that the bikini clad paddle babe did all of the unloading and prep work on her own? Wake up boys. You're not the target for this bit of marketing.

Now, the board and the fishing.

I am very much a novice at this.  I fall every time, I swim every time, and I climb back on the board every time.  Its just like kayaking. As long as we are boaters, we are swimmers.
