Was out this morning with my finances uncle.
We hooked up with several fish, over a dozen small trout, some decent looking chums and I caught a beautiful chrome coho.

That's awesome dude. Looks like you had a good day. Quite the change in the weather from our trip last weekend. Is that the new Coosa?

We were out on Sunday as well it was great fishing until the wind came out of nowhere. My fiancées uncle ended up blowing over in that very coosa. The wind somehow got right under his hull and he said "it was like some one just pushed him right over" he wasn't wearing a wadder belt and they filled up with water, luckily his wife was nearby to hold him above water. The wind was so incredible there was no way we could drag him to shore, I waved down a near by boat and thankfully brought both him and the yak safely to the launch. His wife and I had a terrible and extremely exhausting time fighting the wind, rain and current to shore. Uncle Gill lost most everything off of the yak including a fish finder, fishing rod, tackle boxes and several small items. I ruins my I phone 4s, but in the end all that matters is we were all safe and sound and able to share our thought on our group learning experience and our sudden rescue training. Lol.
One of my coho was attached to his boat and he managed to keep it hooked to the drag line.

The surprising thing is out of the four kayaks that we had out, the one that flipped was  his coosa. I thought that was strange for the fact it's the only one stable enough to stand and fish from

Sounds like quite the day for sure.  Glad to hear that everything ended well.  Except for the lost gear of course.  I can't believe the Coosa flipped.  Out of curiosity, was he in the high seat position?

A costly learning experience.

Yikes, scary story. Weather sure can change quick...

I personally think it has to do with the lack of a keel in the hull or perhaps it needs a skag

Ihop can chime in about the wind and Coosa stability.  Sounds like the same thing that happened to him.
