Tough Bass fishing

I don't know if it is just me and my local ponds, but i have had a terrible year in regards to catching bass.  Most years i have been able to get some nice ones with a little work.  I went out yesterday, as it was calm and not too cool.  I tried soft plastics, and top water poppers to no avail.  Maybe the pond has been fished out of the large bass i have caught in years past? it just seems wierd to me- maybe i have just lost my touch?  grrr- on to banking for Steelhead- My office is 2 blocks from a nice spot, so i will be hitting it a lunches occasionally.  My kayak is for the most part, put away til next year

As the waters cool down, so does the bite.  if your fishing from a yak, try using a "drop shot".  jig is really slow.

This time of year, bass fishing is dead. Put the kayak in the garage and cast metal from riverbanks for steelhead and salmon.
