Hobie Kayak Fishing World Championship

Nice work jammer! Must've been great to see some sun and be able to kayak fish in shorts.

Curious about what you think of the Pro Angler.

Personally, I love catching bass. Particularly sunset topwater fishing.   Love that adrenalin jolt of a crashing strike!

Rory, I personally love the PA's! Hobie put us all in the PA 12 for the tourney for a couple reasons. The first being they wanted to take a billion picture's for media reasons, but the stability of these PA's is second to none. For the first 60-90 minutes of each morning during the tourney, myself and most of the others were fishing topwater baits and frogs in the shallows. Having the ability to stand up in these super stable boats and cast under tree's over logs and through all kinds of crazy stuff was priceless. They gave us all kinds of accessories too, like anchors and stakeout polls. One thing I really liked about the stakeout pole is park back in 2 feet of water in Lilly pads, insert the stakeout poll thru the back "or" middle scupper hole and stand up and cast. This made it so nice when the light breeze would kick up. We could just hold in one spot working the Lillie's with a frog, stick baits or lipless cranks. Standing up rules for this kind of fishing. I have some video of our morning starts that's pretty entertaining. I'll edit it and put it up soon. I actually just picked up a new PA 12 before I left for Texas that's still getting pimped in my garage right now. It's going to be a lot of fun around here. I think Rawkfish and I will be bringing our pimped out PA's to our Kayak Fishing 101 clinic this week at Next Adventure, if one would like to check them out..

So, Jammer do you get to keep the kayak, or will they just peel your name off the side and sell it as a used unit?

All competetors were giving HUGE captains bags with tons of gear and equipment from all the sponsors, but the PA 12's we did NOT get to keep. From what I understand all the international boats will be stripped of all their stickers and sold at dealerships somewhere in Texas and the southeast"as slightly used". As far as the USA team boats, I heard the may end up as "display" boats with our stickers left on at different dealerships in Texas and the southeast, but not completely sure. I would think they would just want to sell them. Eitherway, they're incredible to fish from!

Um, why?  I could use another GoPro.

Go Pro were smart they'd use that in an ad to prove how tough thier cameras are.

GoPro is smart.  They have like 99% share in the action camera market.  I'm the only person I know with a contour camera, and everyone else that does video has a GoPro or three.
