ORC 2013??

Hey guys,
With the recent changes to the 2013 Cabazon season opening later then normal, I thought I would let you guys help decide when the ORC 2013 will take place. Up until now, the tournament typically has taken place around fathers day weekend which is typically the middle of June. Weather in June is a quite a bit more unpredictable, but non the less, that's when it's always been. Please vote and help decide if we just chase big Lings in June this year or should we move the date back 4 weeks into July, so we have a chance at better weather and can include the fat Cabbies??

I vote to keep it as is. July is our busy season so I would be unlikely to attend.

I'd vote for a time other then father's day weekend...

It would be nice to have cabbies play, but I think our decision should be based on when the likely hood most people will be able to attend instead of basing it on cabby retention. Personally I can make either one.

Are there any other date options we could add besides just those two?  Like maybe the weekend after father's day?

If there are other options, please add a 'remove vote' option too.

Is the weather better in July?  I'd like to include the cabbies since it might be my only trip to the salt all year.

For me, I can go either way.  Turns out we're going to switch to home-schooling so the public school schedule doesn't matter to me anymore.  Cabbie retention would be a definite plus, but I get a company holiday for the month of my birthday (June) so sometime in June saves me a vacation day. 

Either way I plan to attend.  Might make a difference though as to whether the family comes as I don't know what SWMBO has planned for the summer.  Will definitely change some of our plans though if the dates change.

Personally the July date would be better for me as I dont think ill be back from OCS for the June date.  Also, the later date might help Rav as he'll be deployed and might be back for the July date.

Do cabbies open 7/13? The north wind can blow pretty good in July, on the other hand, if it's calm it could extend the fishing range.

Cabazon season opens July 1st which is a Monday. The 4th of July is on Thursday and the "new" proposed ORC date being Saturday the week after. A lot of people have committed to other plans the week of the 4th, so we are shooting for the following weekend.

I'll be making another vacation out of the trip so that week would be great.  If i take the 5th off, I'll get a couple extra days of travel/fishing time.
