I've been a glow guy for the last few years but my wallet says I'm a UV guy after my last trip to cabelas. Who uses what and more importantly which is better.... Flashers.... Hoochies..... Spoons....

UV most definitely unless you're fishing deep or in low light.

I am a huge fan of "glow" tackle for fisheries like rockfish/lings/halibut etc.  The lack of light down deep robs color from most presentations.  Having your offering put out its light is a huge bonus.

As for UV, its a neat concept and addition to your arsenal but for most NW species (salmon/steelhead etc) the action of the lure and quality hooks have way more to do with catching fish than its UV output. I tired UV finish plugs when they first came out and my custom painted, hand tuned,  kwikfish out fish similar UV painted plugs most every time. Not saying its a gimmick, just that of the factors that influence wether you catch fish or not its down the list a few.
