Forgot to mention that you should call first to set up an appointment for fittings. RR's guy Kim wasn't there, but another nice helpful lady took me through the process. The office is open later, but all the designers and production people go home at 2:30. So if you want anything special done, it's good to have the people around that actually perform the work there to bounce ideas off of.

That place is a total candy store.

Justin, I've worn my waders quite a bit. These things are tough. They are pretty comfortable and I have had no issues with leaks in the booties. The cordura 400 material (everything in yellow) has been a nice feature both for strength and ease of cleaning.
The pic below shows this springer bleeding out in my lap. I was drenched in blood. I gave them a quick scrub with a tough bristle brush and some warm water/detergent mixture when I got home and they clean right off.

I will go back and take a look at their new "breathable" material when I'm ready to buy a drysuit, but for now I am leaning towards a kokatat Goretex suit.
Overall, best waders I've ever owned, I wouldn't buy a dry suit out of this material as I'm afraid I'd bake in the summer months. But a great buy if you're looking for waders.

I'm looking for something that I can just use as just waders as well as in a combo with my dry top.

Do these have a relief zipper and what are the feet made out of?  Neoprene?

You can get a relief zipper installed for about $50 bucks. They just started offering these cheaper zippers as they only ever had the full dive zippers which were gas tested and those cost as much as the waders or more.
You have options for the wader material (not sure exactly what it is, but if feels like a thin wader material like on breathables) or latex which is what I've got. He also has options for 3 or 4 permanently installed boots. With or without insulation.

USIA makes great stuff!!!

I used to dive in one of their SCUBA dry suits as did most of my friends. Great northwest company that has been keeping divers dry underwater for years. They can add a relief zipper to their dive suits so I would imagine that would work on the waders as well.

Romanian, you got your purdy waders all bloody.  Nice work!! ;)

I've sent them an email with a couple of questions.

D-Rock,

Does the Kayak Shed offer anything similar to these?  Waders with a relief zipper that can handle the wear and tear of fishing?

I've been too busy lately to fish much so I haven't gotten to wear my new USiA waders, but they are super nice quality. They don't cut any corners. I had the relief zip and neoprene ankles added so I can wear surf booties with them. Go see Kim and get fitted up, you won't be sorry.

     Hey Paul,
Are those waders what you were wearing at Battle Ground Lake ? I'm thinking of heading to St. Helens this week.
Life is short---live it tall.

Be kinder than necessary--- everyone is fighting some kind of battle.

Sailors may be struck down at any time, in calm or in storm, but the sea does not do it for hate or spite.
She has no wrath to vent. Nor does she have a hand in kindness to extend.
She is merely there, immense, powerful, and indifferent

Yeah. Those are the ones I ordered from USiA. last I remember Kim said he would hook NWKA members up with a deal. Make sure you tell him you're with NWKA.
