Pacific City Questions

I am planning on fishing PC a couple times this coming year.  It is almost exactly the same amount of time to PC as it is to NB for me... 10 minutes difference.  What I am wondering about it this... what is the weather to be avoided?  How much swell is too much?  How strong are the currents in this area?  and whatever else you think I should know...

Avoid high wind ... avoid high swell ... really avoid high swell with high wind. Large tide exchanges will result in stronger currents.

I have seen guys get rolled in pretty mellow surf so what you can handle is kinda your call.

Oh, and I received my Saltwater Striker reel today. Feels like a solid reel. And it marries well with the ugly stick spinning rod you sold me. Thanks for the recommendation! The reel was a steel at $29.

Unrelated to the weather, but worth noting.

For PC, you will want 4wd, or at least high ground clearance for the sand if you plan to drive down onto the beach. 

Or

Have a cart with Wheeleez wheels that will float your kayak and gear smoothly from the Pelican Pub parking lot down to the launch area.
