It appears that the tides and the weather might be favorable for a crab trip on Thurs to Nehalem Bay.  Just checking to see if anyone else might be interested in giving it a try?  This will be my first crabbing trip in the yak and would like some company, and maybe coaching.  Or am I nuts for wanting to do this at this time of year?!?  ???

Depending how much more rain we get you might consider Netarts.

the forecast I'm looking at indicates more rain on Christmas day which could affect things significantly at Nehalem.
"A venturesome minority will always be eager to get off on their own,
and no obstacle should be placed in their path;
let them take risk, for God sake, let them get lost, sun burnt, stranded, drowned,
eaten by bears, buried alive under avalanches -
that is the right and privilege of any free American."

I would be willing to  change locations, just looking for a partner for crabbing!  don't want to go it alone the first time.

There's a good chance that all the fresh water from the last couple of storms has flushed the crab out to the salt.  I'd second Netarts.  Wish I could join you but I'll be knee deep in meetings and metrics that day.

Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.  --Mark Twain
